Job summary

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
• Proficient knowledge of the nursing process and clinical nursing practices
• Strong communication and documentation abilities
• Knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement care

Responsibilities

• Coordinates high-quality, patient-centered care per policies and nursing process
• Performs thorough patient assessments and reports condition changes
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors side effects
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency
• Develops and evaluates individualized care plans with the care team
• Responds to emergencies and participates in CPR/code team activities
• Educates patients and families about conditions and post-discharge care
• Maintains infection control protocols and safe environment
• Documents care thoroughly and promptly in the medical record
• Participates in audits, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance
