Job summary

Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This full-time role offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus and 36 hours per week.

The ICU RN provides critical care using the nursing process, collaborates with an interdisciplinary team, and participates in orientation for transition to practice. A valid RN license and BLS within 90 days are required, with 1 year ICU/ED experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN degree or diploma required.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• Registered nursing License required.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care in ICU following the nursing process.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Participate in orientation and Transition to Practice program for new ICU nurses.
• Support patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Maintain adherence to standards, ethics, and evidence-based practice.
