Job summary

Lutheran Downtown Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care in the critical care setting. You will coordinate care with physicians and nurses, perform assessments, administer medications, and participate in life-saving interventions to ensure safe, quality outcomes for patients.

This full-time role requires 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care, RN licensure, and BCLS certification.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with organizational policies and nursing process.
• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings accurately, reporting changes to the care team.
• Administers prescribed medications, monitors for side effects, and documents administration.
• Assists physicians during procedures within documented competency and skill level.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in CPR/code team activities as appropriate.
• Provides patient and family education on conditions, treatment plans, and post‑discharge care.
