Qualifications

Job Details

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced ICU RN to join our dynamic healthcare team. This permanent position offers an opportunity to provide high-quality patient care within our state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit. You will be working alongside a team of highly skilled healthcare professionals, committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to critically ill patients in our ICU, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
  • Perform rapid assessments, prioritization, and escalation of care for acutely unstable patients.
  • Implement and manage complex clinical documentation within our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the titration of IV drips and acute patient stabilization.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, ancillary staff, and management, to ensure the delivery of comprehensive patient care.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately to nursing assistants and other supportive staff in accordance with their competencies and scope of practice.
  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions and the care they are receiving, ensuring they understand their treatment plans.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an ICU RN, preferably in a high-volume, acute care setting.
  • A current Registered Nurse license in good standing.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Proficiency in EMR documentation and complex clinical documentation (EHR).
  • Exceptional skills in patient & family education, delegation & team collaboration, acute patient stabilization, and intensive care.
  • Experience in the titration of IV drips, rapid assessment, prioritization, and escalation of care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to empathize with and support patients and their families during difficult times.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
