Job summary

StaffDNA® is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our ICU team. You will provide critical respiratory care to patients with severe breathing disorders, ensuring optimal outcomes through advanced therapeutic interventions.

In this role, you will assess, treat, and monitor ICU patients, manage mechanical ventilation, administer therapies, perform ABG analysis, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop individualized care plans.

Qualifications

• Experience in ICU respiratory care.
• Ability to manage mechanical ventilation.
• Familiarity with ABG analysis and pulmonary function testing.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor ICU patients with acute or chronic respiratory conditions.
• Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation and life-support systems.
• Administer aerosol medications, oxygen therapy, and other treatments as prescribed.
• Perform arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to develop care plans.
• Respond to emergencies, including code blue, with airway management as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document progress per hospital policies.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques and equipment.
