Job summary

StaffDNA® is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join the ICU team. You will provide critical respiratory care to patients with severe breathing disorders, including initiating ventilation and therapies as prescribed.

The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, careful documentation, and readiness for rotating shifts in a high-intensity environment. A passion for patient care and ongoing professional development is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent.
• Active RRT credential preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor ICU patients with respiratory conditions.
• Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation and life-support systems.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.
• Perform ABG analysis and respiratory testing to evaluate lung function.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses on individualized care plans.
• Respond to emergencies, including code blue, for airway management.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and progress.
