Job summary

StaffDNA® is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our ICU team. In this role you will provide critical respiratory care to patients with severe breathing disorders, including ventilator management and advanced therapies, to support life-saving outcomes.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans, respond to emergencies, and educate patients and families on respiratory care following ICU transfer.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential required.
• BLS certification required.
• ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor ICU patients with acute or chronic respiratory conditions.
• Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation and life-support systems.
• Administer aerosol therapies and oxygen as prescribed.
• Perform ABG and pulmonary function tests to evaluate lung function.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop individualized care plans.
• Respond to emergencies (rapid response or code blue) for airway support.
• Document treatments and progress in patient records per hospital policy.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care after ICU discharge.
