Job summary

Holy Family Medical Center- LTACH in Des Plaines, IL, is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Unit. Night shifts are 7p-7a with rotating weekends and holidays. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is available for qualified candidates.

The RN delivers safe, high-quality care using the nursing process, collaborates with physicians and nursing staff, and ensures patient privacy and dignity throughout the ICU stay.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• CCRN Certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process.
• Direct patient care within scope of practice in the ICU.
• Guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physician about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
