Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco, TX. The role involves providing intensive care to patients with life-threatening conditions, monitoring vitals, and coordinating with the medical team. Full-time night shifts with 12-hour rotations are available.

The ideal candidate will have an active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and preferably BSN, with critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification on hire and maintained.
• CCRN certification preferred for critical care.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct care within ICU scope of practice.
• Guide patient/family teaching and support other nurses while maintaining high standards.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in condition and test results.
• Respond quickly to clinical changes and protect patient privacy.
