Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking an RN - ICU for an intensive/critical care assignment in Lafayette, LA. The role involves 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week, with a 13-week contract starting 11/09/2026. Licensure, BLS, ACLS, CPI, and TNCC are required.

Prior ICU experience and EPIC documentation proficiency are essential. Responsibilities include applying the Nursing Process, patient education, team leadership, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• ICU Experience, EPIC documentation.
• Current RN License in the state of practice
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification - 12 month blue card from Crisis Prevention Institute
• TNCC cert required at this location
• Preferred - Certification in clinical specialty area

Responsibilities

• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including privacy and introduction to the patient.
• Effectively uses the Nursing Process in the delivery of patient care.
• Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies for diverse patient, family and other groups.
• Communicates, delegates and manages nursing team resources and serves as a leader on the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Utilizes data to evaluate and promote change for better outcomes.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
