Job summary

Jobot in Tyler, TX is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse to deliver advanced, life-saving care for high-acuity patients. Expect independent nursing care in the ICU, including assessments, diagnoses, and interventions, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualified candidates will hold an active Texas RN license (or compact state), be BSN-eligible, and possess BLS; ACLS required. Full-time, 12-hour shifts include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas (or compact state).
• BSN or accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year ICU/critical care experience preferred (will consider strong Med-Surg/acute care).
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS required (additional certifications within grace periods).
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills in high-pressure environments.
• Ability to work full-time 12-hour shifts, including days/nights/weekends/holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent, competent nursing care in the ICU using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation) for critically ill patients.
• Deliver routine and complex care, managing high-acuity situations, contingencies, and long-range patient goals.
• Administer medications, treatments, and advanced therapies while monitoring effectiveness and side effects.
• Perform critical assessments, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and rapid response to changes in patient condition.
• Address complex physical, psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated care, patient education, and optimal outcomes.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care accurately while ensuring compliance with standards.
• Meet OneCHRISTUS Competencies as Leader of Self, Others, or Leaders while promoting patient safety and quality initiatives.
