Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for our ICU to deliver evidence-based critical care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, monitoring patients, documenting in the EHR, and supporting ongoing professional development. BSN preferred; active RN license and BLS required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• May administer medications and therapies according to protocols.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs.
