Job summary

Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, FL is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide professional nursing care in a high-acuity Intensive Care Unit. The RN will collaborate with physicians, APPs, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, patient-centered care and adhere to professional nursing standards.

The ICU RN will monitor complex patient conditions, support rapid clinical decision-making, and maintain accurate EMR documentation while ensuring safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Florida RN license or eligible compact state licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale certifications required upon hire.
• ADN or Diploma required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, identify, and prioritize patient and family care needs.
• Develop, communicate, and coordinate plans of care with the healthcare team.
• Safely administer medications, treatments, and advanced nursing interventions.
• Continuously assess and monitor critically ill patients and respond to changes in condition.
• Communicate significant clinical findings to care team for timely decisions.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR.
• Ensure compliance with patient safety standards and risk-reduction practices.
• Provide compassionate support and education to patients and families during hospitalization.
• Foster positive working relationships and contribute to department goals.
• Maintain licensure, certifications, competencies, and continuing education.
