Job summary

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the department’s requirements and state standards. In collaboration with providers and the care team, the RN applies established nursing models to support recovery and patient outcomes in the Denver area.

Ideal candidates have ICU RN experience and current Colorado RN license, ACLS and BLS within 30 days of start.

Qualifications

• ICU experience (minimum 6 months) required or strongly desired.
• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology for clear understanding.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes; prepares patients for future self-management.
• Manages evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet quality measures and enhance patient care.
• Coordinates, evaluates, customizes, and delivers a holistic patient treatment plan in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
