Job summary

Houston Methodist is hiring for RN II roles across multiple shifts (day 7am–7pm, night 7pm–7am). This licensed staff nurse provides comprehensive care, conducts assessments, and collaborates with the care team to achieve quality outcomes.

This position requires Texas RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke certification (within 4 months), and a minimum of 12 months RN experience. Leadership and mentorship may be part of the role.

Qualifications

• Twelve months RN experience in a healthcare environment.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Texas with current board licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required and ACLS certification preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification within 4 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to a diverse patient population.
• Conduct nursing assessments, assist with exams and treatments, and maintain records.
• Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional team to coordinate care.
• Lead or participate in unit governance and mentoring activities.
