Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care in an ICU setting, coordinating care plans with a multidisciplinary team in an 11-bed unit.

This full-time role requires 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts with every other weekend, adherence to MUSC safety standards, and excellent communication during hand-offs and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduation from accredited school of nursing with RN licensure in South Carolina.
• BSN preferred.
• Current BLS certification required. Some ICU experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care within an 11-bed ICU unit.
• Coordinate care planning with multidisciplinary team.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Monitor and document patient conditions and outcomes.
• Coordinate discharge planning and hand-offs.
• Mentor new staff as assigned.
