Job summary

General Healthcare Resources, Inc. is seeking an ICU Travel Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in Philadelphia, PA. This role offers 36 hours per week, with a start date of 09/14/2026 and an end date of 12/13/2026, in an Intermediate Care/Float Pool setting.

Candidates must hold an active PA RN license (or Compact license), have at least 2 years of RN experience, 2 years in a clinical specialty, and BLS. ICU/IMCU experience preferred; strong critical thinking and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Active PA RN license or Compact RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in general nursing.
• At least 2 years in a clinical specialty area.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience with intermediate care, step-down or ICU preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, assessment and teamwork.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced hospital float pool.

Responsibilities

• Assess, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, patients, families and team members to individualize care.
• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care for patients with complex medical and surgical needs.
• Support IMCU diagnoses and related conditions such as withdrawal, hypertensive issues, and selected DKA cases.
• Monitor patients closely for changes and escalate concerns promptly.
• Direct nursing support staff in line with standards and unit policies.
• Maintain a patient ratio that supports safe, high-quality care in IMCU.
