Job summary

Memorial Health in Illinois is seeking an experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse to serve as a housewide resource for recognizing and stabilizing deteriorating patients. You will respond to Rapid Response Team calls, monitor bed utilization, and lead system improvements for unstable patients across the organization.

The role requires a BSN, an IL RN license, and current BLS/ACLS, with CCRN or CC cert within 12 months and PALS or similar within 6 months.

Qualifications

  • BSN required.
  • Licensed RN in Illinois with active license.
  • Current BLS/ACLS certification required.
  • CCRN or critical care certification held or obtained within 12 months of hire.
  • PALS or Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (or equivalent) within 6 months of hire.
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a housewide resource to assist staff in recognizing and stabilizing patients with signs of deterioration.
  • Respond to Rapid Response Team calls during the work shift.
  • Assist with patient throughput by assessing utilization of critical care and IMC beds, telemetry, and other resource-intensive clinical equipment/technology.
  • Lead efforts to improve care systems for complex, unstable patients across the organization.
