Job summary

Piedmont Cartersville Hospital is seeking an APP Fellow to join the Pulmonary Critical Care team. The fellow will contribute to management of critically ill adults, participate in care planning with supervising physicians, and engage in research and education initiatives.

Responsibilities include airway management, invasive procedures, and rapid response to clinical changes, with opportunities for multidisciplinary rounds and committee participation.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a Master’s degree in Acute Care Nursing or a graduate of an accredited PA program.
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience.
• Licensed in Georgia as APN or PA (credentialed in procedures).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical services for critically ill adult patients under supervision of the physician.
• Obtain health histories and perform physical examinations with documentation.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and explain procedures to patients and families.
• Perform approved therapeutic or diagnostic procedures and document outcomes.
• Support research, quality improvement and educational activities.
