Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is hiring a Physician Assistant—Intensivist for day shifts in the ICU. The role involves direct patient care, prescriptive authority, and inpatient management within a collaborative care team.

Responsibilities include rounds, orders, patient treatment planning, and coordination with physicians. Texas license and NCCPA certification are required, with experience in critical care preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA program.
• Current Texas PA license.
• NCCPA certification.
• More than 1 year of experience in acute/critical care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rounding, admissions and discharges in the ICU.
• Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with scope of practice.
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans.
• Counsel patients and families about care and medications.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Provide on‑call coverage as needed.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians and care teams.
