Job summary
Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO seeks a Nurse Educator to provide educational support to staff delivering direct patient care. The role drives standardization of patient education practices and coordinates training, orientation, and competency validation across units including ICU/PCU.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of ICU/PCU experience, nursing leadership skills, and current MO RN license with BLS/ACLS. A Master’s degree and board certification are preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
- 5+ years of healthcare experience.
- Missouri RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Preferred: Master's in nursing or related field and board certification.
Responsibilities
- Design curricula and training programs reflecting current nursing practice.
- Lead staff education to meet competencies and outcomes.
- Act as clinical expert and supervisor in critical care areas.
- Incorporate evidence-based practice into curricula and projects.
- Promote interdisciplinary collaboration and accreditation readiness.
- Maintain records of orientation, training and competency validation.
