Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse, ICU/PCU Float for the Night Shift in Brooklyn, NY. This contract role involves providing care across ICU and PCU with the flexibility to transition between units while maintaining a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Minimum of 3 years ICU or critical care nursing experience is required, along with active RN license, BLS, and ACLS. The position includes 3 x 11.5 hour night shifts per week, totaling 35 hours, with standard safety protocols and collaboration

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients in ICU and PCU settings.
• Complete comprehensive assessments and monitor changes in patient conditions.
• Administer and titrate critical-care medications as per provider orders.
• Manage ventilators, tracheostomies, and other critical equipment.
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to clinical deterioration promptly.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care teams.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow safety protocols.
