Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the state of employment.
• BLS and ACLS required and maintained; CPI required within 6 months and annually.
• CCRN and CPPS may be required per facility policy.
• Minimum 3–5 years of nursing management experience.
• Experience in high-acuity, fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Direct and guide daily operations in ICU/PCU/Dialysis to ensure quality and safety.
• Prepare and manage department staffing schedules based on census and acuity.
• Supervise and evaluate nursing personnel and manage disciplinary actions as needed.
• Oversee performance improvement, regulatory compliance, and incident investigations.
• Lead development of policies, procedures, and clinical practice standards.
• Develop and manage department budgets to ensure cost-effective care delivery.
• Provide direct patient care as necessary to maintain high-quality outcomes.
• Participate in hospital-wide committees and initiatives aligned with clinical goals.
• Maintain up-to-date job descriptions and ensure timely staff evaluations.
• Support community outreach and education initiatives related to wellness and care.
• Serve as a role model of professionalism and evidence-based nursing leadership.
