Job summary

Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND seeks a Patient Care Technician to support patient care alongside nurses and physicians, recording vitals and assisting with daily living activities.

Under RN/LPN supervision, you will prepare treatment areas, handle basic care tasks, and contribute to a collaborative, high‑quality care environment. A CNA is preferred, with registry requirements for ND or WI as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred. Maintains required competencies.
• ND: if not CNA, must be on the ND Nurse Aide Registry within four months of employment.
• WI: if in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry or be a student nurse with basic nursing course and 16 hours of clinicals.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient‑centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN/LPN supervision.
• Record vital statistics and basic health information.
• Administer basic health care and medical treatments; assist with daily living activities.
• Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient care.
