Job summary

Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support the telehealth-enabled care team. Under supervision of licensed clinicians, you will perform direct and indirect patient care, assist with supplies and equipment, and participate in rounds to anticipate patient needs.

This role emphasizes safety, communication with patients and families, and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Education required: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: Less than 1 year preferred in nursing assistant or healthcare.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care within interprofessional team.
• Licenses: BLS certification required.
• Upon Hire LVHN colleagues must complete LVHN's inexperienced technical partner course.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of licensed clinical team members.
• Promotes a safe patient care environment and maintains supplies and equipment.
• Conducts patient rounds, anticipates needs, and responds to call lights promptly; may support telehealth.
