Qualifications

• Nursing school graduate.
• Meets mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or equivalent NLC multi-state license.
• Maintains current BLS certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC required for certain units including NICU.

Responsibilities

• Administers bedside patient care in a hospital setting under supervision.
• Performs complex assessments with high-level nursing vigilance.
• Monitors specialized equipment and records intracranial/central pressures and rhythms.
• Develops and revises individualized care plans based on patient needs.
• Document care accurately meeting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborates with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to plan and manage care.
• Provides empathetic, patient- and family-centered care and supports new staff/ students.
