Job summary

Adventist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Manager for the ICU in Pico Rivera, California. The role leads frontline nurses and staff to deliver safe, patient-centered care in a busy critical care unit.

The manager collaborates with physicians and leaders to ensure efficient operations, staffing, and high patient/family/staff satisfaction, while maintaining regulatory compliance and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Five years' technical nursing experience preferred.
• One year's leadership experience preferred.
• Two years' acute care nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Builds a high performing clinical work team by recruiting and retaining skilled staff and coordinating with unit champions.
• Sets goals for patient safety, quality of care and regulatory compliance; promotes open communication and high satisfaction.
• Conducts daily rounds with physicians and staff to coordinate care and address issues.
• Directs and monitors patient care activities to ensure timely and appropriate care and quality outcomes.
• Manages personnel requirements, overtime, and unit scheduling with minimal staffing issues.
• Facilitates throughput and ensures equipment safety and readiness, including emergency preparedness.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience

Master's Degree

Five years' technical experience

One year's leadership experience

Two years' experience of acute care nursing in hospital setting
