Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care in the Medical ICU. You will collaborate with medical providers and care teams to ensure comprehensive care aligned with established nursing models.

The RN educates patients and families about condition, plan, medications, and follow-up, while translating complex information to support understanding and engagement in care.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN license held in good standing with state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record promptly.
• Teaches patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures with clear explanations.
• Educates on non-medicinal follow-up measures and prepares patients for self-management.
• Engages in evidence-based practices and process improvement to meet quality measures.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and deliver a holistic treatment plan.
