Job summary

University of Southern California's Keck Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse to join an interdisciplinary team. You will use the nursing process to provide therapeutic care and coordinate patient care and education for patients and families in a compassionate environment.

You will assess, diagnose, plan, and intervene, administering medications and IV therapy, documenting thoroughly, and collaborating with physicians and case managers to ensure safe discharge planning.

Qualifications

• BSN or grandfathered from BSN (as allowed by state regulations).
• At least 1 year of acute inpatient hospital RN experience in the United States.
• Current California RN license and BLS/ACLS as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Assessments: complete nursing assessment on admission, shift change, and condition changes.
• Develop and revise Plans of Care with individualized interventions and expected outcomes.
• Administer medications and IV therapy; delegate tasks per scope of practice.
• Document accurately on nursing flow sheets, MAR, and care plans.
• Provide patient/family education and coordinate discharge planning with Case Management.
