Job summary

A healthcare facility in Maine is seeking a dedicated ICU RN to provide direct care for critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, collaborating with healthcare teams, and ensuring compliance with patient safety standards. Ideal candidates will have a valid RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and prefer critical care experience. Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct ICU patient care and monitor condition.
• Apply the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, evaluate.
• Respond to changes in vital signs, hemodynamics, and patient condition.
• Communicate with physicians and healthcare teams.
• Educate patients and families on treatments and care plans.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and maintain ICU standards.
• Maintain documentation, privacy, and HIPAA compliance.
• Respond to emergencies and rapid condition changes.
