Job summary

Medical City Decatur is seeking an RN ICU for a Seasonal PRN Nights shift (7pm-7am) in Decatur, TX. The role involves coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with a care team, following established nursing models.

This position runs from September 20, 2026, to April 3, 2027, with shifts and holidays scheduled per unit needs. The RN will document care, educate patients and families, promote healthy changes, and support departmental performance and

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN - Registered Nurse licensed to practice.
• Associate Degree or higher required.
• +1 year of experience required.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher required.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record promptly.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about condition, status, treatment, medications and follow-up measures.
• Educates on non-medicinal follow-up measures such as diet and exercise and prepares patients for self-management.
• Manages evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement to meet quality measures and outcomes.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and deliver a holistic treatment plan.
