Job summary

SSM Health in Oklahoma City is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care in a unit with complex assessments. The role emphasizes adherence to policies, procedures and evidence-based practice, with a focus on patient-centered outcomes.

The position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and an RN license; BLS HCP certification is expected. Night shift is available, and benefits are provided as part of a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
• No experience required.
• BLS HCP and RN licensure in applicable states are required.

Responsibilities

• Obtains comprehensive data pertinent to the patient from the patient, family and other healthcare providers to develop a holistic view of the patient’s needs or condition.
• Analyzes and synthesizes data from the assessment to determine diagnoses or conditions relevant to care.
• Identifies optimal outcomes for the patient in collaboration with the patient, family and interprofessional team.
• Develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain outcomes, using clinical judgement in collaboration with patient, family and interprofessional care team.
• Implements the plan, coordinating implementation with patient, family and interprofessional team to promote a safe environment.
• Evaluates processes and progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes.
• Communicates effectively in all areas of practice, collaborates with patient, family and interprofessional team.
• Applies evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge in health care to critical care nursing practice.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
