Job summary

Oneida Health seeks a per diem Nursing Patient Care Technician for the night shift in the Hospital ICU Department. You will assist the ICU Nursing Team and perform tasks that do not require nursing judgment or medication administration, while growing in multiple unit roles.

The ideal candidate will work well independently and in a team, with responsibilities including basic patient care, communication, and patient education under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be able to observe and document information accurately.
• Strong communication skills and ability to route messages appropriately.
• Ability to perform basic patient care under supervision of the Charge Nurse.
• Experience with documentation and data gathering in a clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care tasks as directed by the Charge Nurse.
• Assist RN with patient education and needs.
• Conduct ward clerical and smooth running of unit tasks as needed.
• Maintain equipment and assist with routine cleaning in the ICU.
