Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking experienced ICU RNs for night shift opportunities in Omaha. We value leaders who provide compassionate, evidence-based care in a 20-bed ICU with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio and a self-scheduling model offering weekend flexibility.

Required: at least 1 year ICU experience, BSN/MSN or ADN with a relevant track; strong assessment skills and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Experienced RNs only - not accepting new grad RNs at this time.
• Night shift schedule: 7pm–7am, 24 or 36 hours per week.
• ICU experience required for 1 year or more.
• Ability to perform comprehensive nursing assessments and care planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate nursing care and ensure patient comfort.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and discharge planning.
• Develop and revise care plans in collaboration with the team.
• Implement interventions per the established plan with safe practices.
• Evaluate patient response and communicate changes via SBAR.
• Maintain professional behavior and uphold quality standards.
• Ensure safe handling of equipment and adherence to protocols.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team for optimal outcomes.
