Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shift in a high-acuity unit. You'll conduct assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, monitor outcomes, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

You will document all patient care in the EMR, participate in quality initiatives, mentor nursing staff, and ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed. Requires Associate's Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred; RN license; strong communication and critical

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• RN license required with current certifications as applicable.
• Experience in critical care or high-acuity units is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the EMR.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.
• Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills.
