Job summary

Cayuga Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Intensive Care Unit at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY. You will practice to the full scope of your license, contribute to program development, and work within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

The RN will provide compassionate care, stay current with policies, and participate in staff development while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a busy ICU setting.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing (required)
• Active New York State RN license (required)
• BLS, ACLS & PALS to be obtained during introductory period (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive patient and family assessments and develops person-centered care plans.
• Provides skilled, high-quality clinical care while staying current with policies and procedures.
• Uses critical thinking to make sound clinical decisions, evaluate outcomes, address concerns and document appropriately.
• Applies evidence-based practice and serves as a mentor and clinical resource to staff.
