Job summary

Cayuga Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY. This is a part-time night shift position onsite, with a schedule of 2x12-hour shifts per week and weekends/holidays as assigned.

The RN will practice to the full scope of their license within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to patient-centered care, care planning, and continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing; NY RN license; will obtain BLS, ACLS & PALS during introductory period.
• BSN preferred.

• Conducts comprehensive patient and family assessments and develops person-centered care plans.
• Provides skilled clinical care while staying current with policies, procedures, and professional standards.
• Uses critical thinking to make sound clinical decisions, evaluate outcomes, address concerns, and maintain accurate documentation.

Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit

Registered Nurses at Centralus are key members of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to the Tompkins County community. Practicing to the full scope of their license, RNs actively contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services, collaborating with colleagues in a shared governance environment to improve patient outcomes and deliver optimal patient-centered care.

Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., use of computer keyboard); may require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs), including boxes, equipment, IV solutions and stooping and kneeling (e.g., to pick up items from the floor, to remove and replace items on lower shelves and to file documents in lower file drawers); sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of time may be necessary; must be able physically to operate the equipment used for the job.

Pay Range Disclosure

Standard Rate of $39.63 - $48.18 per hour plus benefits
