Job summary

Harlingen Medical Center in Harlingen, TX is seeking a Part Time ICU RN for night shifts (12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM). The role includes delivering high-quality care to critically ill patients, assessing conditions, and implementing therapies in a high-acuity ICU setting.

Responsibilities include using ventilators, cardiac monitors, and advanced equipment, administering medications, and supporting families. Current RN license, BLS, ACLS within 30 days, and ICU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification on hire and maintained.
• Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year as staff RN in acute or critical care.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care to critically ill patients and develop care plans.
• Operate advanced equipment and monitor vital signs continuously.
• Administer medications and IV fluids with precise dosing.
• Manage life-support devices such as ventilators and dialysis machines.
• Provide emotional support and education to families, communicating care plans.
• Document care activities and maintain infection control and safety standards.
