Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients according to the nursing skills inventory and the patient population.
• Coordinates nursing care planning with an interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with and may delegate to the healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes based on data and standards of care.
• Plans discharges and transfers and coordinates treatment plans.
• Participates in ongoing program evaluations and quality improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
• Exhibits compassionate, personalized care while adhering to regulatory and Memorial Hermann standards.
