Job summary

BJC HealthCare in Missouri seeks an experienced ICU RN for night shifts in a busy 12-bed Medical ICU. The role requires direct patient care, leadership support as a charge nurse, and collaboration with an interprofessional team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Minimum qualifications include a Nursing Diploma/Associate's and RN license with 2–5 years in ICU. Preferred candidates have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and 5–10 years of experience.

Qualifications

• RN with 2-5 years of ICU experience.
• Evidence-based nursing practice and documentation required.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates identification and resolution of gaps in care from hospitalization, at discharge, and into the ambulatory care setting.
• Leads development and implementation of complex care plans with goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient/family.
• Acts on evidence-based practices, participates in journal clubs, and supports practice change with new knowledge.
• Analyzes gaps in practice standards and provides feedback to peers to enhance safe patient care.
• This is a safety-sensitive position requiring constant alertness.
