Job summary

Barnes‑Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center in Missouri is seeking a Multidisciplinary ICU Registered Nurse to join the newly established ICU. You will provide direct patient care, perform assessments, plan and evaluate care within established nursing standards, and collaborate with an interprofessional team.

The role offers 3 shifts of 12 hours (7:00–7:30), with shift differentials for evenings/weekends/holidays and a BSN differential for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required
• Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree
• No experience required for minimum education level

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families on managing illness and home care needs.
• Participates in patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; engages in professional development.
• Develops and documents plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with interprofessional team and patient/family.
• Assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs and considers patient values and preferences.
• Recognizes this is a safety‑sensitive position requiring alertness and safe performance.
