Job summary

Deborah is seeking an experienced intensivist to lead the Medical/Surgical ICU, overseeing assessment, diagnosis, and management of critically ill patients with cardiovascular, pulmonary, and vascular conditions.

The role requires fellowship training and board certification/eligibility in Critical Care Medicine, with collaboration across multiple specialties, ongoing education, and commitment to patient safety and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited university.
• Fellowship trained and board certification/eligibility in Critical Care Medicine.
• Board certification in another qualifying primary specialty (Anesthesiology, Surgery, Medicine).
• Current DEA registration.
• Current BLS and ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Lead the multidisciplinary ICU team in assessment, diagnosis, and management of critically ill patients.
• Provide nights, weekends, and day shift coverage for the Medical/Surgical ICU.
• Coordinate treatment plans and ensure timely documentation in the EMR.
• Promote evidence-based care and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Educate and mentor advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and trainees.
• Collaborate with cardiology, surgery, pulmonology, and other specialties to optimize outcomes.
