Job summary

Essentia Health Detroit Lakes is hiring a Health Unit Coordinator/Tele - ICU to support the day shift with an every-other-weekend and holiday rotation. The role focuses on coordinating non-nursing functions, clerical duties, and facilitating efficient unit workflow within a hospital setting.

Ideal candidates have experience as a health unit coordinator, medical secretary, or medical receptionist in a hospital or clinic. Emphasis on customer service for patients, families, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• Plans, organizes, and implements the non-nursing functions of assigned unit(s) to facilitate workflow and patient care.
• Performs clerical and reception duties; requisitions supplies, equipment, and services as directed; assists with scheduling.
• Preferred candidates will have hospital/clinic HU Coordinator, medical secretary, or medical receptionist experience.

Responsibilities

• May be assigned to observe telemetry monitoring when indicated and notify patient’s caregiver of changes.
• Supports unit productivity and a healthy work environment.
