Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown, WV is seeking a registered nurse for inpatient care. The RN is responsible for delivering nursing care using the nursing process and independent judgment to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Minimum qualifications include an active RN license (state or multi-state via eNLC) and BLS within 30 days of hire. Two years of RN experience is required; a BSN is preferred for advanced opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
• Two (2) years of registered nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes patient’s diagnosis, problems, and issues to meet patient needs and coordinate with the healthcare team.
• Serves as resource for patient and family learning needs.
• Coordinates with the interprofessional team to manage changing priorities.
• Provides safe, high-quality care and acts as an independent team member.
• Mentors colleagues in clinical knowledge and skills.
