The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Staff Physician to provide care in the Pulmonary service/Critical care. This position is fee-based, requiring the physician to be proficient in all aspects of pulmonary and critical care.
Basic qualifications include a medical degree, relevant residency training, and proficiency in English. The physician will evaluate and treat ICU patients, ensure compliance with healthcare standards, and coordinate care with other healthcare team members.
The Staff Physician serves as a practicing Pulmonary service/Critical care provider that performs a full range of professional procedures in connection with the treatment of commonly encountered inpatient work load. This Position is a FEE BASIS - salary is paid by CPT codes performed per shift.
To qualify for this position - you must meet the basic requirements as well as any additional requirements (if applicable) listed in the job announcement. Applicants pending the completion of training or license requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. Currently employed physician(s) in VA who met the requirements for appointment under the previous qualification standard at the time of their initial appointment are deemed to have met the basic requirements of the occupation.
