Qualifications

• BS/AS in Respiratory Therapy from a CoARC-accredited program.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• New York State Respiratory Therapist License and NBRC credentials required.

Responsibilities

• Determine appropriateness of therapy and coordinate with physicians.
• Provide verbal and written educational materials to patients as appropriate.
• Document critical values in the medical record per policy.
• Collaborate with the care team in emergencies and ongoing patient care decisions.
• Manage invasive/non-invasive ventilation and airway care for diverse patient populations.
