Job summary

Corona Regional Medical Center seeks a Director of ICU to lead clinical and operational management of the ICU with 24-hour responsibility. The role collaborates with administration, intensivists, and physicians to advance patient care, staff development, and evidence-based practice.

The director will mentor nurses, oversee competencies, and drive initiatives to improve outcomes and satisfaction across patients, staff, and physicians.

Qualifications

• CA RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required by American Heart Association.
• CCRN or other specialty certification preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or related field) required.
• Master's degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years ICU RN clinical experience.
• Minimum 3 years acute care ICU nursing leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate delivery of patient care with 24-hour responsibility for the ICU department.
• Provide administrative direction and collaborate with administration, intensivists, and physicians for development and evaluation of nursing personnel.
• Maintain operational aspects of the ICU in collaboration with support services; educate on new technology and clinical practice.
• Lead teams to improve core measures and Joint Commission initiatives; ensure compliance and patient safety.
• Engage in ongoing dialogues with staff, mentor nurses and support leadership direction; promote evidence-based practice.
