We value skilled RNs who provide high-quality patient care in a busy ICU setting. Qualifications include an accredited RN program (BSN/ADN), current US RN licensure, BLS and ACLS certifications, and at least one year of recent CCU

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited RN program (BSN or ADN).
• Current RN licensure in at least one US state or DC.
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
• One year of recent Critical Care RN experience.
• No sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Provides critical care nursing to ICU patients.
• Obtains patient and family history.
• Assesses patient and plans appropriate nursing care.
• Documents plan of care and care given in patient’s medical record.
• Verifies physician orders; no verbal orders accepted.
• Administers medications and IV therapies.
• Interprets cardiac rhythms and monitors.
• Operates defibrillator and cardiac monitors.
• Participates in discharge planning.
• Educates patients and families about medications and procedures.
• Maintains patient privacy and professional decorum.
