Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the ICU Physician team in Somerville, NJ. This full-time role covers day and night shifts and works with critical care intensivists, hospitalists, residents, and other APPs to deliver direct patient care in the ICU.

Requirements include a Master’s in PA studies, PA certification, NJ licensure, and BLS/ALS. ENLS within 90 days and FCCS within 1 year are required. A robust benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies required.
• PA certification and NJ licensure required.
• ENLS within 90 days of hire; FCCS within 1 year of hire.
• BLS and ALS certifications required.
• CDS and DEA licensure in NJ required.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-acuity adult patients in a multidisciplinary ICU.
• Perform physical exams and document data.
• Order labs, imaging, and consultations; implement treatment plans.
• Prescribe interventions and medications as appropriate.
• Coordinate care with ICU team and other departments.
• Assist with ICU consults and participate in rounds.
