Job summary

St. Luke's Meridian Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant or Nurse Apprentice to join our Intensive Care Unit team. This part-time night-shift position works two 12-hour shifts per week and provides essential care to critically ill patients alongside a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes bedside care, vital signs, mobility and hygiene, with opportunities to strengthen clinical skills and pursue nursing education through available scholarships and programs.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification.
• Enrollment in an accredited nursing program with ACEN/CCNE/CNEA accreditation.
• Nurse Apprentice or Nursing Intern Letter from the State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with activities of daily living, mobility, repositioning, hygiene and other patient care needs.
• Assist with obtaining vital signs, monitoring intake and output, and communicating changes to the nursing team.
• Care for critically ill patients in a fast-paced ICU environment alongside nurses and a multidisciplinary team.
• Strengthen clinical skills and participate in nursing education opportunities.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Enrollment in an accredited school of nursing with ACEN, CCNE, or CNEA accreditation

Nurse Apprentice Letter or Nursing Intern Letter from the State Board of Nursing

CNA certification

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
